CONTINUING EDUCATION

WHY CONTINUING EDUCATION?

It is recommended that yoga teachers take 30 hours of continuing education (including 10 “contact” hours) every three years. For 2021, the Yoga Alliance has extended provisions, due to Covid, to allow for contact hours to be earned online. Yoga Alliance membership is not required to be an excellent teacher; but for teachers interested in becoming E-RYTs to offer continuing education, we do offer Yoga Alliance CEUS for all of our continuing education programs.

Who is Continuing Education for?

It’s for already certified yoga teachers looking to rediscover their gifts, reconnect with the call to teach, and realign with skills that up-level their students’ yoga class experience. Many teachers come from faith-based yoga schools; however, this is also a great opportunity for those with traditional yoga certifications to immerse in Christ-centered spirituality.

How do I participate?

  • MASTERS TRACK (300 HR. CERTIFICATION)
    • Are you interested in earning a 300-hr. certificate? Living Soul believes in a master’s path that you can enjoy in more digestible and affordable modules that provide an integrative approach to learning. Each module will be a collaboration with experts in the field of yoga, human anatomy, Christ-centered spiritual formation, yoga philosophy, teaching proficiency and more. Modules will be offered throughout the year in both online & in-person retreat gatherings and include a mentorship component to help foster community and ensure learning retention. You will have up to three years to complete your 300-hour certificate with us. See 2021 continuing education offerings below. Total investment for the Masters Track is $2,700. Expect travel expenses for in-person retreats.
