Students walk away with SO much more than a yoga teacher certification. Our yoga teacher training is a life-changing experience of deep spiritual formation and embodied healing.
Unlike many trainings, students have ongoing access to lead trainers who serve not only as experienced yoga professionals, but also as trauma-informed spiritual directors, Christian life coaches, and somatic practitioners. Instead of producing cookie-cutter instructors, we help students discover their own authentic teaching voice and style.
We approach this topic with humility and respect for both our faith in the Trinitarian God and the origins of yoga.
We are followers of the way of Jesus who practice Christ-centered yoga as a discipline of embodied awareness, prayer, and spiritual formation.
In Matthew 22:37-38, Jesus calls us to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. The practice of yoga is one way we can live that out, engaging our whole being in the presence of God so that we may love Him, others, and ourselves well.
We don’t believe that following God requires withdrawing from the world around us. Jesus met people in the middle of their everyday lives, sharing meals, attending weddings, and being present in space outside of religious institutions.
We recognize yoga as an ancient tradition with roots in a culture and philosophy beyond our own, and we approach it with humility, gratitude, and respect. We do not seek to appropriate or erase its origins, but honor the wisdom it carries for mental, physical, and nervous system health, while practicing in a way that authentically aligns with our Christian faith.
For us, faith-based yoga is a space where mind, body, and spirit integrate into God’s presence, and where we can nurture our formation in Christ through breath, movement, stillness, and prayer.
We don’t feel the need to defend one or the other, but simply hold to our personal testimonies of Jesus meeting us on the yoga mat.
Not at all. Many students take teacher trainings simply for personal growth, spiritual formation, healing, or a desire to deepen their understanding of yoga.
Students come to training for many different reasons: navigating a dark season of life, feeling close to God on the mat, learning how to slow down and breathe again, or searching for an authentic, safe community.
Some students choose to teach, and others carry the practices back into their homes, relationships, and everyday lives.

This varies slightly by training, but most students spend 5-6 hours each week taking Christ-centered meditation practices & yoga classes online or in-person, 3 hours live Zoom training, 2-3 hours of online homework assignments..There’s both grace and flexibility. They can be employed by hospital systems, counseling offices, or go into private practice as they support those navigating chronic illnesses, grief, eating disorders, trauma, and unresolved pain.
