About the Freedom Module

Teach with trauma sensitivity! Our Freedom course informs and equips yoga teachers to lead with trauma sensitivity and offer yoga to populations they are called to serve! Learn about trauma teaching methodology, polyvagal theory, the window of tolerance, somatics, and yoga nidra.

What to Expect

In this seven week course, you will have weekly homework assignments that include:

Reading/listening to specific chapters in "Trauma-Informed and Trauma Responsive Yoga Teaching."
Instructional videos explaining how the body reacts to and stores trauma.
A course manual & additional articles to read.
Exercises on attachment styles & personal worksheets from "The Embodied Healing Workbook" by Catherine-Cook Cottone.
Soul Flows with Kristin Gibowicz (themed on Anatomy of the Soul by Curt Thompson).
Somatics practices with Luci Davis
Mindfulness & Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSY) with Andrea Wittig
Quizzes that are mostly reflective for the integration of the weekly content
